چکیده

Abstract Introduction There is substantial evidence linking NF-κB and cancer-related processes. The aim of this study was to investigate the role IKKα, main catalytic component non-canonical pathway in colorectal cancer (CRC). Method Immunohistochemistry immunofluorescence used examine expression IKKα 1030 patients undergoing resection for stage I-III CRC. To assess inhibition, organoids were prepared from wild type (WT) mouse colon, models CRC (Apc Apc.KRAS.pT53.TGFbR2 (AKPT)) patient derived human organoids. These treated with an inhibitor, SU1433 organoid size cell viability assessed. Result High cytoplasmic associated increasing T (p=0.012), poor tumour differentiation (p=0.010), necrosis (p=0.013) low proliferation status (p=0.013). punctate reduced CSS (HR1.20 95%CI 1.02-1.42, p<0.001). Immunofluorescence showed co-located a Golgi-related structure. did not significantly impact on WT (C57/B16) up concentration 1uM, however dose-dependent manner both Apc AKPT models. A similar reduction observed Conclusion Punctate specific survival patients. relationship between Golgi requires further investigation. Inhibition SU1433, impacted viability. results suggest that following investigation could be employed as novel therapeutic target Take-home message up-regulated surgery CRC, outcome inhibition has presented itself target. raised interesting questions regarding molecular behaviour warrants

W4: Cancer Stem Cells as a New Target Point for Treatment of Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma is a destructive form of brain tumor that kills most patients within two years of diagnosis.Treatments for glioblastoma include the usual options of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy, but there is no effective treatment. The tumors are capable of spreading tendrils out into the brain and it can grow back in a matter of months after being removed. The cancer stem cell...

Targeting Colorectal Cancer Cell Lines Using Nanobodies; AgSK1as a Potential Target

Background: Colorectal cancer is the third most common type of aggressive cancers. Chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy are the common therapeutic options for treating this cancer. Due to the adverse side-eff ects of these methods, immunotherapy is considered as an appropriate alternative therapeutic option. Treatment through the application of monoclonal antibodies is considered as a n...

Attention Deficits in Chronic Methamphetamine Users as a Potential Target for Enhancing Treatment Efficacy

Methamphetamine (MA) is a potent, addictive psychostimulant that has dramatic effects on the central nervous system (CNS). The onset of methamphetamine use has been linked to heightened attention, and chronic methamphetamine use has been associated with deficits in different aspects of attention that can significantly persist into abstinence. Attention deficits in chronic methamphetamine users ...

Immune Checkpoints as a Target for Colorectal Cancer Treatment

Anti-tumor immunity is a new line of research for the treatment of patients with solid tumors. In this field, negative regulators of the immune system called immune checkpoints play a key role in limiting antitumor immunologic responses. For this reason, immune checkpoint-inhibiting agents, such as those directed against cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4) and programmed death-1 receptor ...

Plasma Level of miRNA-7, miRNA-409 and miRNA-93 as Potential Biomarkers for Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is among deadliest cancers all over the world. Regarding its high mortality, some researches have focused to discover new applicable diagnosis methods. In this regard, circulatory miRNAs has been received huge consideration as promising biomarkers for early detection of CRC. The study aimed to evaluate the expression level of miRNA-7, miRNA-93, and miRNA-409 in plasma of...
